Lovely weather we have here

Man, I’m glad we weren’t living in Portland yesterday. They apparently got some pretty severe icing, as illustrated by this video.

Yesterday’s weather here was much less severe, though still kinda yucky.  We had some additional light snowfall in the morning, which boosted the difficulty of using the roads and sidewalks. But by the time I was walking home around 8pm we were just getting a light drizzle. Yeah, liquid water. Just above freezing it was, hmm?

I overheard some coworkers in the breakroom earlier talking about how the weather here lately has been much worse than in years past.  I didn’t have the heart to tell them it was because Michi and I had just moved up here ^_^
